Burnsville Rotary; November 30th, 2006
Thank you to Michael Follese of the Burnsville Rotary for the invitation to share our mission!

Also a special thanks goes to all of the members who shared their weekly meeting time learning about Niger, Seeds of Hope, and inquiring about how they can help. The Burnsville Rotary has made possible a well digging project in Uganda, and also gives generously to those in need in their own community. We're looking forward to collaboration with this club and those involved on the International Rotary level in creating sustainable solutions in Niger.

Twin Cities Marathon; October 1st, 2006
I will be running 26.2 miles in the Twin Cities Marathon to raise awareness and hope.

100% of your help will go to buy seed for groups of women in Niger who will plant and harvest the millet for food.

Give by the meal, give by the mile, give what you feel is right.

Whats the least you can do?

Give Seeds of Hope.

Marathon Update:
I finished! Thanks to all your support, I was able to run the marathon in 5 hours and 1 minute! After five months of training, that began with breathlessly struggling through1-2-3 mile runs, we made it. I ran with the Seeds of Hope logo which brought cheers and encouragement from the many fans along the way. It was an unforgettable 26.2 miles through the Twin Cities, the last 6 miles in particular.

Runners were walking, limping, just doing what they could to reach that finish line. Thoughts of all of you who gave your encouragement, and your dollars, crossed my mind many times. A fan, a woman holding a baby, started to run alongside of me, giving me encouragement. The mothers with babies wrapped to their backs while pulling water, pounding millet, working in the field, will be so happy, and so grateful.

What better moment is there in life, than when you truly give?
Thank you for giving seed to hungry families, and hope to people who's lives depend on it.
